The True TUC-24G-HC~FGD01 undercounter refrigerator offers temperature settings between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit, using the environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant in its capillary tube system to cool the unit. Both the evaporator and condenser fan motors work together to ensure a consistent airflow around the cabinet. The evaporator is coated in epoxy, and the unit features a self-contained condensate pan, eliminating the need for an external drain. Accessibility is enhanced by the rear-sliding condensing unit.
To maintain efficient operation, the condensing fan motor operates in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor cycles on, removing buildup, debris, and settled dust from the condensing coil. This helps the coil operate more efficiently, using less energy and potentially extending the unit’s lifespan. Regular preventive maintenance is recommended to ensure the proper functioning of the coil.
